ANOTHER embarrassing addiction...

Ok, not so much an addiction but a gulity pleasure definitely! This one ranks right up there with my desire to watch the Housewives of Bravo. It started with the Housewives of Orange County then those from Atlanta (don't really care for them though, they just fill the time in between seasons of the other ladies) then them city slickers from New York and most recently the mafia queens from New Jersey (although they say there are no mafia ties-whatev).

I guess it started when I had Austin...up for late night/early morning feedings and nothing else to do. SO one morning I tuned into Bravo and found those blondies from OC. Been addicted ever since. But THIS, this is really embarrassing. I actually bought this the other day for a fun summer read:


Can you believe it?! It's not even out in paperback yet...too new. Yep, I paid for the hardback. I think I was feeling a little disconnected with my femininity. I mean two babies in two years, c'mon I have gotta climb my way back somehow, and if this is what I do to get "inspired" (so to speak), then what the hell, right? RIGHT? I promise to stop myself at buying any season of her show Tori & Dean Home Sweet Hollywood (yes, I even know the name of that).

Oh well, it makes me happy.

A couple of weeks ago we had a visit from the Dish man, aka the cable repair man. We have satellite and apparently some trees found it necessary to grow into the path of our latitude and longitude broadband. We lost all viewing pleasure of the more critical channels in our home…Nick Jr. and Cartoon Network. LOL We were told the technician would be out to our home anytime between 8am and 1pm. Great! Stuck inside all day essentially, playing the waiting game. Much to our surprise the phone rings at 8:15am. It’s the Dish Lady’s voice informing us that the “Dish” man would be at our home in less than 20 minutes! WooHoo! William shows up and knows just what to do to fix the problem and is done in about 20minutes flat! Nice! He was a nice man, Genuine. Warm and Fuzzy. Is It Hot In Here?

Me: Can you have symptoms of a heat stroke and not have the stroke? MJ: Oh brother. Me: Seriously, is that possible? MJ: That's a hotflash! What I was referring to is the fact that Hubs went on a fishing trip this past weekend. He stayed up late drinking with buddies on Saturday night then got up extra early on Sunday morning to board a 6am boat for an all day excursion on the John Day River. He returned Monday burnt to a crisp and extremely tired. He didn't drink much water while on the boat so I am assuming that he was dehydrated...and still is. That's what makes MJ's hotflash comments all the more comical to me. But then it doesn't take much to humor me anymore.
